Mill Avenue Vexations Volume 9: All the Night’s a Stage by Kyt Dotson has officially been released to print! It will soon be available for order in our online store.
This one does have a lot of nice things going on, like another cover by Rebecca Gunter—who also did the cover for Volume 8—and the internal chapter headings once again thanks to Allan Gallo of the Empty Room Studios.
This volume has Vex trying to get a holiday from the odd happenings going on around town. Nothing like a massacre to really ruin everyone’s day, but for some reason the city must go on anyway. And thus, so must our heroine.
However, not all holidays go as planned, as she soon discovers.
So, get along and read up! Next volume is coming next month, so might as well catch up now. You can find the full text at Volume 9: All the Night’s a Stage.

| Maybe the problem is that I expected it to be easy and learned too late that is extremely challenging. The difficulty of life combined with the disapointment brought by major experience (love, work, friendship) keeps me up or makes me bury my head under the pillow. |

| I love my pillows—they are black silk and satin—but you, I think, are another angst filled spambot. Feel free to browse around, you won’t be able to post any links. |

Regarding the Latest Vex Harrow mystery/magic/thriller: Volume 9 All the Night's a Stage
Another winner!
My name is Dave Short. I'm 56. I live in Northern California in a wilderness area. I am a very avid reader of all sorts of books, but I'm particularly fond of the adventure/horror/action genre. I began as an adolescent reading through all the H.P. Lovecraft stories, then on to Stephen King, Clive Barker, Koontz and others. I love a good fast paced mystery that brings in elements that I'm unfamiliar with; Vex never fails to provide plenty.
I began reading the Vex Harrow stories a year or 2 ago quite by accident when Kyt Dotson began posting links to some of them, and I've been a fan since the first one.
Knowing Kyt (a singularly unique individual) from a help oriented chat room has been a real pleasure in my life. Considering that there really aren't that many true pleasures in it, I really value our chat friendship. Even If I didn't appreciate Kyt as a friend and a person, I would enjoy the stories Kyt produces in prodigious quantity.
Every new chapter in the Vex Harrow series is a treat. When I hear a new one is up, I don't delay and gobble it up.
In this episode, Vex once again brings her unique magical talents and her hard right hand into action against a powerful and strange foe. Just enough to help allay my curiosity a bit about the evil violin player who appeared in the first episode I read quite a while back.
Vex always leaves me wanting another page, another chapter, another scene, another ass kicking.
Vex's right hand must be getting pretty gnarly from bashing bad guys (and girls) in the mouth. If I ever need some teeth removed and don't have any money for dentistry, I'll look her up and piss her off. Hopefully after I get a hug or a swift kiss or just a good look at a sygil or two.
Bottom line. If you don't know Vex, get started. If you do know her, you'll dig this story. Support Kyt Dotson so we will have a long and uninterrupted series of stories to look forward to! |
