Long awaited, long languishing, the Construction tribute is finally here. Look up and behold: Cranes!

This particular story has been in the stewpot for almost eight months now, went through several revisions, and is still probably not quite done. Likelihood is that there will be a sequel that will help spell out the quote on the back. The back cover hearkens back to an article Kyt Dotson wrote in 2006 entitled Phoenix: From the Ashes, Into the Flames. This particular fiction addresses things about all the construction going down on and around Mill Ave.

This city is constantly changing, there is always something new in the Valley of the Sun.

The Centerpointe Towers are going up, skeletal metal grids looming in shadowy light behind now deserted Harkins Theater; Monti’s Steakhouse, La Casa Vieja, will soon be dwarfed by giant condominiums of its own, looking a lot like the tiny house between towering monoliths at the end of one of the Gremlins movies.
